Cubase Lessons, PC or Mac
Troubleshooting, upgrades and optimisation for PC
Cubase Tuition for creative musicians, producers and DJs. I use Cubase SX, SL, VST and Cubasis. If you want to record, edit and master music on a computer, it's for you.
Who am I?
I’m a professional musician, composer and teacher with lots of experience. I’ve made many albums and written for film and TV in the UK and USA. My clients and collaborators have included:
- Ry Cooder
- The Byrds
- XTC
- Judas Priest
- Monty Python
- Karl Jenkins
- Peter White
- The History Channel
- London University
- ...and countless aspiring musicians and bedroom DJs!
So What?
I’m well qualified, but — more importantly — aware that all our needs are different. My Cubase tutorials are customized to meet your musical interests and experience.
You don’t need a degree to realize your potential; just enthusiasm and appropriate help.
How’s it work then?
A typical six-hour Cubase session starts with a tour of the equipment used and how it interfaces with Cubase and the computer.
The soundcard is the computer's link with Cubase: I have various sound cards and can demonstrate their features and how to use them best for your style of work. Likewise MIDI modules, VST instruments like HALion, Microphones and monitoring can be demonstrated and included.
From then on it's all hands on using written tutorials, samples and MIDI files which you take home with you (to jog your memory!).
In the second half we create a piece of music in your chosen style and cover all that is needed to create a CD.
Hardware and troubleshooting
If you’re having problems with your system or want to upgrade, we can find a quick and economical solution.
What’s it cost?
I’m based in North London and can offer one-to-one sessions, which start at only £90.00.
I can also visit and show you how to get the best out of your own system.
